A Meaningful & Prideful March of Nations—Viking 2024

As an overseas student, I always look forward to my country—Vietnam from afar—every time and every second. The national spirit is always fire in me. And I am sure whoever, like me, studies abroad will have the same feeling. Hence, in everything I do, I want my home country to be proud.

On October 24th, the March of the Nation day, with the proud reputation of being the most diverse private high school in Texas, The Village School organized many traditional activities, clubs, and national performances so that students from variety could proudly shout out the country that they were coming from. This contributes to promoting the national spirit to others in school: traditional clothes and performances with no barriers. The diversity and pride of the country are shown and expressed the most.

The most impressive moment of that day for me was when each student walked down the enormous field where each country lined up aside the 2 sidewalks, then they found their country and all the students from each country lined up together. Following this, each group from the nation will orderly go parade around the school field, which is proud to represent, showing everyone in the school our country. This feels heavenly.

When we are far from our home, the national spirit does not shrink; it even builds greater and more lively.
