A Special Day Snorkeling at Catalina Island 🌊🐠
Our grade trip to Catalina Island was not just a fun trip, it turned into something really meaningful for me.
We went snorkeling as a group and followed our instructor carefully. At first, I was scared because the ocean looked so deep and wide. But when I finally looked under the water, everything changed.
I saw coral reefs, colorful fish swimming calmly, and long green algae moving with the waves. Schools of fish passed by together like one big family. I even saw a rare yellow fish, and that moment made me realize how special nature truly is. It felt like I was visiting another world that most people never get to see up close.
Being in the ocean helped me understand how important the environment is. The water was so clear, and the animals lived peacefully in their home. I realized that humans should protect the ocean instead of hurting it, because once nature is damaged, it may never fully recover.
This trip also made me feel closer to my friends. We entered the water together, helped each other when our masks filled with water, and laughed about our nervous faces afterward. Sharing such an experience made our friendship stronger. It wasn’t just a trip — it was a memory we created together.
When I came back, I didn’t just bring photos with me. I brought a new respect for the ocean and a deeper appreciation for my friends. Catalina Island will always be special to me, not just because of what I saw, but because of how it made me feel.
