Mayflower Foundation is a charity project with the mission of not only bringing hope to help disadvantage children but also allowing to help disadvantage and experience new perspective on different lives

Mayflower SSS is a branch of Mayflower Foundation where teaches the childrens especially those who are lack oppotunity to approach with the education. As a co-founder of the project, I am solidly proud of the journey that our group of 4 have been through, include the president – content , and the 3 tutors (recruitment, media team, etc) have been through the with the mission.

By now, with 3 months and more than 25 classes, leaving many positive impacts of the Mayflower SSS to the Brazil NGOs learners. After much thinking and discussion of how we can help them elevate their English skills but also go over and the colors, how to create sentences, we decided to do a fundamental lesson for them: teach them how to introduce themselves and ask others for their names, and then respond in English.

This simple exercise marked their first experience in using English to engage in basic questioning.

Fascinatingly, it was a transition from uncertainty to confidence as they went through these first steps of communication. The transformation that took place was just amazing. Having an opportunity from the moment to see when they were still beginners in English not knowing the alphabet to where they can now ask and answer questions fluently was an explosive moment of achievement for all our tutors.

As their instructor, leading them through being contident to connect with others and have the confidence to express themself, actively asking questions, and engaging in study was a big reward for us. Of course, they were hard to communicate at first, but it was a memorable point in our journey of bringing students with knowledge.

From here our spirit becomes more fire. Asking and answering names may be simple, but to get to this point, it was a huge effort from the tutor with Ms. Malu (Maria) and the effort of the learner thie own to reach today. This is a building block that Mayflower SSS will continue its mission to spread knowledge to the world!

We are not just teaching them language; we are empowering them to use it in a meaningful way!
