Mathcon Competition

After months of practice and hard work, I took the challenging MathCON test last month. For me, MathCON is a true test of all-around math skills. The questions are designed to be tricky, requiring not only strong fundamentals but also the ability to think quickly—solving each problem in one minute or less.

Three months before the competition, I remember staring at a math problem for 15 minutes without a single idea on how to solve it. That moment pushed me to refocus and review all the essential math concepts from grade 10 and earlier, knowing that the test would challenge me on those foundations.

Every day, I dedicated two hours to solving MathCON practice tests. Even though the topics aligned with my school curriculum, the way they were presented made them significantly more difficult.

This experience was incredibly valuable—it pushed me to work harder, sharpen my problem-solving skills, and elevate my math level to new heights.
