A trip to Houston Zoo and deepening the knowledge about the environment system and animals around us

I am a person who loves nature. I am even taking the IB Environmental Systems and Societies class. This fall break, I had a chance to go to the Houston Zoo and explore the animals there.

I saw many endangered species like the Asian elephants, red pandas, Attwater’s prairie chicken, Houston toad, orangutans, Amur leopards, Malayan tigers, and okapis. This is not just a stop to see animals; there are also many boards showing the animal’s natural habitat and the reasons why the ecosystem change led to the extinction of the animal.
