One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Houston
Food is one of the biggest passions in my life. No matter how tired I am, a bowl of Vietnamese food aecially bún bò.
Bún bò is a Vietnamese beef noodle soup, steaming hot. The broth is rich and a little spicy, with lemongrass that you can smell before the bowl even reaches the table, and there are slices of tender beef on top. I like to add fresh herbs, a squeeze of lime, and some chili.
For me, bún bò is tied to being stuck at home doing online school, and every single day I asked my grandma to buy me a bowl of obò. I ate it almost every day, and I never got tired of it. Even now, whenever I’m back in Vietnam and go out for breakfast, I have hủ tiếu and cơm tấm, which are full of beef, and the flavor is just so good.
Here in Katy Asian Town, my go-to spot is Jia Kitchen. They serve almost everything Vietnamese, from meals to Their bún bò doesn’t taste exactly like the one back home, but it still has that same feeling. Every time we go on the menu.
I once got my Korean friend; we went to Katy, and she was the one asking for Vietnamese food.
