A series of Samual Lind’s art thoughts
I love the arts, especially the fantastic experience of walking through an exhibition with the author and hearing the stories behind each master. Surprisingly, during the grade trip, I had a chance to visit Samual Lind Art Studio, where famous artist Samual Lind composed his works.
When I stepped into his studio, it felt as if I had entered another world—one filled with nature, warmth, and art. I can feel each piece of art speaking up its deep meaning to me.
In this blog, I will be discussing “The Women Embrace Our Roots” wood craving. Artist Samual Lind expressed that women’s hair represents our ancestors and grandparents, who are always staying with us to lend a hand and help us reach out more confidently and successfully. This is associated with her head turning upward, which symbolizes a connection to spiritual and ancestral forces, reflecting reverence for heritage and nature. It also conveys hope, resilience, and empowerment, celebrating the strength of women rooted in tradition while aspiring toward a brighter future. This gesture embodies the interplay between cultural pride and spiritual liberation.
This glimpse into “The Women Embrace Our Roots” is just the beginning of what I’ll be exploring in Samuel Lind’s extraordinary body of work. Stay tuned for more posts as I dive deeper into the powerful stories and meanings behind his art. Each piece tells its own unique tale, and I can’t wait to share more of Lind’s inspiring creations with you in the future.
