Starting my senior year!
I can’t believe I’m finally a senior. My last year of high school.
Ten years ago, when I started first grade, I thought 12th graders were so grown up. Senior year felt like something far away and kind of scary. Then, in the blink of an eye, here I am on a flight to the U.S. to start it.
When my parents drove me to the airport, I felt really different from the last time I flew back after winter break. I felt more confident. I know what I want now, and I have clearer goals. There are exams to get through, but more than that, I want to make memories.
For the past two years, I spent most of my time cramming for tests and didn’t take many chances to meet new people. This year, I want to change that. I want to say yes to more things and step out of my comfort zone. I’m joining more honor societies to meet new people, and I signed up for AP Calculus to challenge myself, even though math has always scared me a little.
I’m trying to have fun this year while still keeping up with school. Wish me luck!
